چکیده
Lake water level fluctuation is a function of hydro-meteorological components, namely input, and output to the system. The combination these components from in-situ remote sensing sources has been used in this study define multiple scenarios, which are major explanatory pathways assess lake levels. goal analyze each scenario through application balance equation simulate largest Iran, Urmia, selected as it needs great deal attention terms management issues. We ran monthly simulation nineteen scenarios for Urmia 2003 2007 by applying different combinations data, including observed remotely sensed level, flow, evaporation, rainfall. readily available data Hydrosat, Hydroweb, DAHITI platforms; evapotranspiration MODIS rainfall TRMM. analysis suggests that consideration field algorithm initial can reproduce best way. combines meteorological closest match Urmia. Almost all showed good dynamics with but we found nine out did not vary significantly dynamics. results also reveal that, even without any proposed scenario, consists entirely capable estimating lake. explains necessity using proper act on regulations managerial decisions understand temporal phenomenon only other lakes semi-arid regions.

assessment of the probable impacts of land use changes on water quality in shadeghan wetland using remotely sensed data
In this research, the evaluation of possible effects of land-use change on water quality in Shadegan wetland has been provided with the help of remote sensing data. The purpose of this research was to evaluate and compare user variations in 2000 and 2015 using Landsat satellite imagery (with ETM and OLI sensors) from the study area and processing them in the ERDAS software environment using the...
متن کاملNew approaches for surface water quality estimation in Lake Erken, Sweden, using remotely sensed hyperspectral data
This work demonstrates the efficiency of using linear statistical modelling for estimation of concentrations of various substances in lake water using remotely sensed multiand hyperspectral images together with extensive field measurements collected over Lake Erken in Sweden. A linear relationship was assumed between image data and the corresponding field measurements, and the transformation co...
متن کاملAssessing the Positional and Thematic Accuracy of Remotely Sensed Data
Classification of remotely sensed imagery gives variable and often poor quality results. The causes and nature of these errors have been the subject of extensive research.. There are two different components of accuracy in the context of remote sensing: positional and thematic accuracy. Positional accuracy determines how closely the position of discrete objects shown on a rectified image (map) ...
متن کاملAssessment of sedimentation in Bhakra Reservoir in the western Himalayan region using remotely sensed data
Sediment particles originating from erosion processes in the catchment are propagated along with the river flow. When the flow of a river is stored in a reservoir, the sediment settles in the reservoir and reduces its capacity. Reduction in the storage capacity of a reservoir beyond a limit hampers the purpose for which it was designed. Thus assessment of sediment deposition becomes very import...
متن کاملRemotely Monitoring Ecosystem Water Use Efficiency of Grassland and Cropland in China's Arid and Semi-Arid Regions with MODIS Data
Scarce water resources are available in the arid and semi-arid areas of Northwest China, where significant water-related challenges will be faced in the coming decades. Quantitative evaluations of the spatio-temporal dynamics in ecosystem water use efficiency (WUE), as well as the underlying environmental controls, are crucial for predicting future climate change impacts on ecosystem carbon-wat...
